the weather forecast said 3ºC. this is madness, i thought. but: always go! and what a beautiful experience, gliding through the harbour in the dark, christmas lights reflecting and a communal feast of treats to mark half way.

sitting at the desk, the weather had been overcast. but then a ray of sun broke through the gloom as the memory hit that north avon canoe club would be having a social paddle that evening. and so it was later i found myself outside in what turned out to be a glorious evening, riding to them through the open countryside, and then once introductions made, this.

one of the better evenings, for sure.
