one-off, climate-change framed home-town gig for massive attack.
wasn’t a slam dunk: a lot of waiting around for one performance[1]; much preaching to the choir; it pissed it down with rain right when they started. but massive attack + uva remains to me one of the best things of “my generation”. still unique, hell of a show.
plus to hear teardrop with its opening lines of “love, love, is a verb / love is a doing word” sung live… priceless.
